Sorasaki Hina

In this illustration, I tried to portray various versions of Hina, each dressed in different costumes. It was truly delightful to have the chance to depict her in so many unique appearances. While I was thinking about the draft, I spent a lot of time figuring out where each Hina should be placed and what kind of gesture would best showcase her charm. In the rendering process, how to manage similar colors and design elements from the characters to make it more interesting was also a challenge to myself. Although it was time-consuming, I really enjoyed every moment, knowing that each step was making the artwork better.

This work is also the cover art for my upcoming artbook Charming Characters S.Vol.9, which will be released at FF45 on August 22nd. The book not only includes this illustration, along with its linework, detailed commentary, and insights into my creative process, but also features many of my other fanarts and doodles. At FF45, feel free to stop by my booth at P43P44 to take a look!

Additionally, I’ve been thinking about turning this artwork into T-shirts, which kind of a tradition for me? After FF45, I might start working on some T-shirt designs based on this artwork, and I will share some of them on my SNS to hear your thoughts and feedback!
